Kenya N. Rahmaan is THE woman to know if interested in Child Support Reform. She is the author of The Child Support Hustle and the Founder of The Reform Child Support NOW! Movement. This grassroots movement is designed to expose the real truth about the Child Support Enforcement Program. The mission of Kenya’s movement is to make the federal, state and, local governments reform current systems that harm children, parents, and families. On her website, Kenya shares child support information, post videos, and writes articles addressing outdated, unconstitutional, and illegal child support guidelines. Click here to sign the petition Kenya created to erase all government-owed child support debt.

The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) is a nonpartisan research and policy institute. CBPP pursues federal and state policies designed both to reduce poverty and inequality and to restore fiscal responsibility in equitable and effective ways. Researchers can browse various topics such as federal tax, poverty and inequality, housing, state/federal budget, and more. In their family income support section, I found a report providing a full policy overview of TANF.

The Congressional Research Service is a public policy research institute providing comprehensive legislative research and analysis for members of Congress. Researchers can find an index of CRS Reports by entering search terms on their website, then refining results by topics, content types, status, etc. I searched “child support” and found a report highlighting child support enforcement program basics.
